c130king,
I use 4 of the six gallon Duratanks, with one hose to the engine.
No, the tank does not come with any fittings.
Every engine mfg uses their own style for the quick disconnect fitting.
They all have 1/4 NPT male threads on one end.
The Duratank (as all aftermarket tanks) has the female threads, 1/4 NPT, ready for your particular fitting.
A quick look at WM will show you the options.
My Tohatsu came with the fuel hose/bulb with their"female" quick fitting attached to it.
The aftermarket Tohatsu-style "male" tank fittings came from Boaters World.
On long trips, I'll run until the engine sputters when the first tank is empty, then switch the fuel fitting over to the next tank.
Works fine for me.

Re: Tempo Value 6 fuel tanks
Fuel line came with male end, tanks do not come with fittings. They are specific to your engine. I picked up 2 at the marina parts store that fit my suzuki for about $15 each. Thought about using the one from my old 12 but I wasn't to keen on running those in and out as the tank threads are just plastic and I will still use my 12 for extended cruising.

Re: Tempo Value 6 fuel tanks
Does anybody know if this Moeller 12 will fit under the seat of an X without cutting fiberglass?

The opening is 23x10, but I wondering if it will angle into the cavity. Has anyone tried? We have a Tempo 9GAS on the otherside, which fits well but they've apparently become hard to find...

Re: Tempo Value 6 fuel tanks
Tip: These quick-connect fittings we are discussing that come in various "flavors" for each outboard motor manufacturer are extremely common, hence I would never pay a marine store's exorbitant prices (having plumbed fuel lines/tanks for an outboard motor is very unusual). Go to the sporting goods section of Wal-Mart and you may well find these fittings for 1/3 the price that WM charges. Failing WalMart, Kmart, or the like, go to Gander Mountain or a place like that with a big fishing section - they sell small outboards for rowboats that use the exact same fittings.
Note: There can be regional biases that limit your options, i.e. in some areas it may impossible to find Honda parts, in others Mercury may be very rare. I know my local gander Mountain sells the little Honda 4-strokes so I can buy some stuff for my BF50 there, but other Gander Mountain locations only have Mercury stuff.

Boater's World just sent me a "Black Friday" sale catalog that shows these Tempo Value tanks -
Duane, I'd like to know if you had to do much cutting-and-fitting to put them in. I do see you added a retaining strap, much as I did with my battery.
Although I don't see myself needing 24 gallons of fuel, it certainly wouldn't hurt me to have more (and more convenient to fill) than the 7.5-gallon Tempo square tanks that came with the Bossa Nova, my

Re: Tempo Value 6 fuel tanks
As you can see in my picture,
I cut down the entire bottom lip to as close to flush as possible. I enlarged what was left of the drain hole even more. I widened the opening by about 3/4" creating the jog you see in the right side of the picture. Then, with no more bottom lip to hold the tanks in, I added the retaining straps. They are just standard off the shelf straps runing through a set of loops I made out of some aluminum bar.
