Baston - feel free to ask Heath if there is interest in same
Searching "out" and "closet" reveals 31,419 hits, interestingly enough, but this is rapidly turning to a Front Room Pub discussion, at least..
We now return the thread to the very civilised topic of the Admirals Galley.....

If you're particularly happy, I see no reason why not. The rest of us are just miserable.bastonjock wrote:in these days of political correctness, will we be having a "Gay" section??????????

YES- Back to the topic of the Admiral's Galley !
I have noticed that on many previous threads Captains have expressed a keen interest and question - How to get the Admiral to take a more active role in sailing in general? Encouraging Admirals to chat in a specific forum, I believe would go along way in encouraging this.
A forum amongst like minds and Yes specifically female. Funny enough Admirals think differently to our fine Captains and certainly have different priorities. Enough said-----
Captains- how about mentioning this idea for a forum to your Admirals-- especially those who haven't or don't know how!
Admirals- Surprising enough I don't need to know how to install a radio
but I would like to know, and I suspect Clarissa does also, what you whip up when the Captain exclaims "What's for lunch?"
Does anyone actually attempt to produce something whilst sailing? I have to confess I try and spend as much time topside as possible- feel a bit queezy if I try and do something inside

Re: MacGregorettes
Val - we certainly dont cook below whilst under sail - you need some pretty fancy galley equipment to do this safely, which would probably exceed the cost of the Mac!!
Our usual plan is make sandwiches and drinks (hot/cold) beforehand and have them ready to eat if under sail.
At anchor of course, its full gourmet fare for us....such as grilled chicken breast, Basmati rice, and mashed potatoes
Caitlin to port, Abby to Starboard on Cuttyhunk Pond

OK, I've set up the Admiral's Galley forum and usergroup. To join the usergroup, use your User Control Panel. I'll continue to tweak the permissions and visibility and perhaps the location of the forum as things evolve and we work out the best way to use it. I still need a female moderator - volunteers?

Thanks Heath,
Seeing that I seem to be on this forum constantly - well everyday at least
. I would be happy to moderate- that is if I have the right understanding of what a moderator does.
- To steer the conversation to the /thread that was posted if things go off on a tangent.
- To keep the conversation appropriate- not that this would be an issue
Anything else?
** WELL LADIES - seems we have the green light. Now all that needs to happen is we make use of the opportunity.
Captains- please encourage your Admirals to join in - could be fun!
Mistral- Yes I will join myself under my own name--
Valerie.
