Rudder Connected to Motor

Post by MBertin »

Hi team,

For the MacGregor 25, is anyone had make modification to link the rudder control to the motor? This would make a directional control from one point.

Let me know,

I think as long as the rotation on your OB is tight enough you should be able to put it on centerline and it should stay there whilst you use the tiller to steer. The OB may even have a centerline locking feature. I never had any cause to do something like this since I only used my OB for getting in and out of slip/landing and would never dream of leaving the rudder down for that. I just steered the OB using its tiller, after securing the rudder in the up position.
