FYI- for anyone wishing to overnight on Raystown Lake, a US Coast Guard Approved MSD with pump out only must be installed on your boat. Apparently this has been the law but they are now enforcing it. I wouldn't be surprised to see more area's adopting this in the future.

We have gone there before and thought about overnighting. But at the cost of adding a pump-out *ONLY* system, it's hardly worth it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

We had a slip for 4 nights at Raystown Lake Resort ($35 per night) with the intention of using it the first and last night, but ended up in the slip the whole time because of an engine problem. If you stay at the marina overnight you comply since they have facilities there.

I can configure Catigales PP to be either macerator or pumpout - for Great Lakes Sailing I lockout the macerator with a tiewrap on the valve. THis has passed CG inspection many times (by my invite)
Kevin - my guess is if you showed this to an inspector this would pass muster. You would argue (in the usual diplomatic way) that any holding tank can always be carried upstairs and dumped overboard, so the criteria of 'if you MSD can be discharged overboard in any way) doesnt make a lot of sense.
