PARKING

Post by puggsy »

Hope this of interest....just where do you park your old girl at the end of the day?

This is "SEAHORSE'S" spot...the prevailing storm winds are all off the beach...they are easterlies off the bay and always in fine weather...the only problem then is getting away from a lee shore.
I look forward to a few other 'possies'. Puggsy

Wind Song stays moored in a sea of green with the rest of my flotilla:

From left to right: My father in law's stinkpot that he keeps trying to sell me, Wind Song is our 2001 Macgregor 26X, Therapy II is my red 1976-ish Venture 2-22 and Minnow Pause (don't ask) was my mother's Com-Pac 16 but now that she can't sail it I'm in the on again off again process of restoring it.

It's a disease I tell ya. My wife says I can't buy a duck hunting boat until I get rid of one of these. We'll see.

That's not parking, that's a boat yard, dig a little pond and you'll qualify as a marina.

Since I've been married for over thirty three years, I had to think a bit when you said
just where do you park your old girl at the end of the day?

Puggsy-
Am I correct in guessing that you are moored on the Swan River in the vicinity of Manners Hill Park? If so, then the 2nd photo shows the intersection of Irvine Street & The Esplanade behind your boat. Y/N?

Docking question for Alice & Stew - in some of those pictures the docking arrangement is the classic 4 dolphins (pylons or telephone poles, thanks Kevin) - can you guys outline how you approach and dock with something like that please?
