Has anybody sailed around Cairns, stayed out overnight at the islands or reefs, berthed in the marina's for a long duration. I could be moving there and don't know if I will take the Mac or sell her.

JS,
You should ask "know all" Ralph.
He is living there at the moment.

Jack...to have a
in Queensland I surely would like...Why would you sell "her"? Surely not for lack of sailing grounds...?

Re: Sailing around Cairns in a Mac
Thinking about buying a keel boat. I work for a large OZ airline that is considering reducing staff
(I also worked for another airline that reduced all of it's staff a few years back) the Admiral will not move this leaves me commuting so I am trying to kill 2 birds with the one stone possably live on when I am up there at work, sail a bit this would also save me renting.

Re: Sailing around Cairns in a Mac
Ouch. Good reason for considering the sale. As roomy as a a Mac is, and as well modified as your post have shown, really long term live-aboard could get a bit cramped
, so good luck with sorting out an optimal compromise...
But think of the sailing opportunities your new environment presents!
