Holes

Post by Retcoastie »

I considered drilling holes for drainage, but figured they would let saltwater in as well as out. I didn't want water inside the metal tube. I have five foot, 2" schedule 40 PVC pipes on the goal posts. They are capped and the caps do NOT have holes. This causes air to be trapped inside the PVC pipe and prevents water from entering the metal post. The PVC is wired down so they don't float off when submerged.

Water in posts

Post by atzserv »

I just drilled and drained the poles today. I was thinking the same thing the last poster mentioned about saltwater getting in now. I will tape them and keep an eye on them. I also have the pvc with no holes drilled, I will wire them down next trip, good advice, thanks

Rick,

Accuse someone of padding his post count? From the king of padders himself?

:P :P :P

(My first emoticons in your honor.)

Incidently, the new,(2007), aluminum trailers have guide posts that are verticle aluminum pipes and cannot retain water, in my opinion.

Como Esta?

If you have 18" of water in your guidepost, is your guidepost half-empty or half-full? :P

If you have 18 inches and the average is 6 inches.... if I go there Louis will sigh mightly, so I will just say you have 44.8 millibars or 0.044 atmospheres, 1.32 inches of mercury, or 4.48 kilopascals. Yeah, I know - what use is 1 pascal let alone over 4 thousand, well to Louis I can only offer, (as quoted from Wikipedia) Pascal's Wager (or Pascal's Gambit) is a suggestion posed by the French philosopher Blaise Pascal that even though the existence of God cannot be determined through reason, a person should "wager" as though God exists, because so living has potentially everything to gain, and certainly nothing to lose. It was set out in note 233 of his Pensées,. (editor's note: should not be construed as a reference to the aforementioned avergae of 6 but rather it is-)
a posthumously published collection of notes made by Pascal in his last years as he worked on a treatise on Christian apologetics. Historically, Pascal's Wager was groundbreaking as it charted new territory in probability theory, was one of the first attempts to the use of the concept of infinity, marked the first formal use of decision theory, and anticipated the future philosophies of pragmatism and voluntarism.
So while I decidely agree with Kevin pragmatically, I have to volunteer, in light of this information, that you probably have a fully rusted post. And this is an undoubtably usely post.
Does it hurt anything if the balls are yellow?

Quotes

First of all please note that the ENTIRE rest of the quote was edited out for clarity.

Secondly, no it doesn't - - - but I really wanted to get one red and one green ball, as was suggested, but I didn't try that hard and I saw a package of three yellow balls for 99 cents and that was the end of that (two on the trailer and one to my daughter's retreiver).

Thirdly, Pascal's Gambit remind's me of the Rick's Realism: What's the difference between people who pray in Church and people who pray in a casino? - - - People who pray in a Casino REALLY MEAN IT!!! :) :!:

Rick :) :macm:

PS This post was not shortened for padding, Dennis :P I have to go pack some more now :!: We're NEVER going to finish in time :!:
