I considered drilling holes for drainage, but figured they would let saltwater in as well as out. I didn't want water inside the metal tube. I have five foot, 2" schedule 40 PVC pipes on the goal posts. They are capped and the caps do NOT have holes. This causes air to be trapped inside the PVC pipe and prevents water from entering the metal post. The PVC is wired down so they don't float off when submerged.

I just drilled and drained the poles today. I was thinking the same thing the last poster mentioned about saltwater getting in now. I will tape them and keep an eye on them. I also have the pvc with no holes drilled, I will wire them down next trip, good advice, thanks

Incidently, the new,(2007), aluminum trailers have guide posts that are verticle aluminum pipes and cannot retain water, in my opinion.

Secondly, no it doesn't - - - but I really wanted to get one red and one green ball, as was suggested, but I didn't try that hard and I saw a package of three yellow balls for 99 cents and that was the end of that (two on the trailer and one to my daughter's retreiver).

Thirdly, Pascal's Gambit remind's me of the Rick's Realism: What's the difference between people who pray in Church and people who pray in a casino? - - - People who pray in a Casino REALLY MEAN IT!!!
