Couldn't find a place to say Hi!

Post by PhilBrown »

So hello from the s/v Mis'adVenture. She is a '79 V25 and pretty much stock. I have replaced a few old/broken items, but I would rather just sail the boat. We sail out of Rathbun Marina at Rathbun Lake in southern Iowa. I love my boat, but really miss the old V21. I learned to sail 35 years ago on a Flying Junior. I have hung around other Mac/Ven sites and look forward to joining this very active forum.

Thanks Rich. I am only new at this forum, we have owned our V25 for six years now. And I will believe spring is here when all the ICE is gone from our home-waters.
See you on the water!

Love that sweet corn in early July. I'm hoping this "funny" group can help shake the cabin fever. IT'S SNOWING RIGHT NOW. AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE. The marina opens in eight days and I bet my slip in still iced in :x

Speaking of Iowa, I once knew a farmer from Iowa who came up to Minnesota for a visit wearing a dirty pair of overalls with a $20 bill in the pocket. By the time he went home he had changed neither. :D

Kidding, kidding. Minnesotans have tons of Iowan jokes, and vice versa I am sure. You'll love the 25 (I'm assuming you picked it up recently). I have one and its awesome. Easy to singlehand from a slip, but would not want to launch and retrieve alone. Could be done though.

IME, the 25 is nearly impossible to capsize. Dirtied my drawers a time or two, though. :D
