Last Mod for now

Post by Jack Sparrow »

Well it's been fun for the last 6 months but all good things come to an end. I've posted our last mod (for now) we launched her on the 22/10 so for now on it's running repairs, compiling the list for next years mods, improving my spelling and plenty of sailing.

ps seems the boats not on the trailer I think I might do something with it

Jack, How much weight did you add with all those changes?
Were you at all worried when is slipped off the trailor for the first time? :P

Just wanted you to know we have copied several of your mods to our :macx: and they work great.

We'll miss our monthly mod fix from you.

Jack, How much weight did you add with all those changes?

We estimate the all up weight of boat and trailer to be between 2100kg and 2300 kg as far as I can gather there seems to be little effect on sailing performance. Planing ability, it still pseudo planes.

Were you at all worried when is slipped off the trailor for the first time?

Not having sailed a large mono before I was a little tense (previous experience had been in 40 ft cats and off the beach yachts)

Just wanted you to know we have copied several of your mods to our MacGregor 26X and they work great

Glad that I have been able to help someone else, all mods that are submitted here work to the satisfaction of the author and I believe are only posted to stir the imagination .

List so far for next year

Flush fit paper holder in the head
Denser cockpit cushion split to allow access to storage comparments
Hull lining replacement (pilling sending us crazy)
Large treads the (Admiral took a fall) we like the look of this shape

Storage vee berth
Replace genoa with a jib
There is a new hot water serve (smaller that the hot water on demand coleman) out in Oz that runs off a large propane gas bottle and has a pilot light, it has the ability to relight after the water flow is shut down
We have some interference from the battery charger in the extension speakers when shore power is plugged in
Dagger board guides, bulb keel to stop the banging and improve handling
Folding helm wheel
12 volt microwave
Chute scoop
Inspections
Servicing
Repairs
