Octopus sighting Nevada HWY 50

Curious if the owner hauling his Mac was a board member. We passed on the incline of HWY 50 from Carson City to (Likely) Lake Tahoe. If your here, would like to know if you were heading to Tahoe. If so, the usual questions: Did your vehicle pull the hill okay? ( We have a similar size and type of to...

Great stories, now mine. I was invited out on the bay (San Francisco) for a day sail with the family of a friend. Loved it! For some strange reason, this family intrusted me with the keys, asking me to look in on the boat (a 23ft Islander) at the Berkeley Marina whenever I had the chance. They lived...

Mark,

Thanks for reconsidering your comments. Politics should be avoided on this board. Plenty of places to go for that!

RHC, Coastal cruising the northern CA coast is not to be taken lightly. I recomend getting your sea legs in more protected waters, or barring that, be very careful with the weather and waves. I sail the SF Bay and find it most challenging. Be carefull out there. Congrats on your new to you X. This b...

OH NO! Now my blue hull is under attack! Prepare for boarders, batten down the hatches, sharpen the wits.... Damn the torepedoes, full speed ahead. Actually, the blue hull was supposedly the only one offered when I purchased(Feb 2003). Given a choice, I would go for the white hull, but the Admiral s...

BBraun; Tom Spohns advice is best, sit, sail have the Admiral give some input. Enjoy your decision. Don't let the "littles" make you feel you have opened a hornets nest. This debate has raged since the X hit the market and a lot of early Mac and Venture owners were aghast. Some people have...

Let the hissy fits end! It all boils down to choice. Get off your thrones and sail, or if the weather ain't right, work on the boat. Moe, you got the best boat for you, enjoy it and quit rippin the poor excuse of a boat, the M. I had a choice in new boats as one of the first M owners, (hull #22) my ...

I suppose I could spend a lot of time depunking longwinded comparisons of my M vs " the peace in our time" X, but I would rather go sailing.
Get over it already and enjoy your decision based clearly on personal preference.

Sorry to hear my M has such serious shortcomings. Guess all the enjoyment I get from it is false memories..Somehow I will live with my horrible mistake. Or maybe I should take comfort with the old adage: "Opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one(and knows one)" and enjoy my mistake.......

Going to Coz on the 27th. DiveCoz has been a great source of information. Can't wait! Second trip to Mexico. First was to P.V. about ten years ago. Stayed in the International District away from all the usual U.S. tourists. Loved it. Great Food!

I strongly agree!!!!! Besides the interesting posts from all over the Mac world, the community of members is fantastic. Before buying our 2003 M, this board strongly influenced the purchase. I knew that the expirence and willingness of the members to share would help along the way. I have recently b...

After a beautiful day on the bay with the sounds of bow slicing the waters, the wind in the sails, a glass of old vine zinfindal and smooth jazz at the slip works for me.
