Re: Were ALL 26Xs equipped with a furler
Yeah, so the boat has not been sailed at least 3, if not 5 years. And I used "sailed" loosely - it is possible that he always motored, although someone had to attach the forestay to the hole, so that someone should know if there was a furler mounted on the forestay or not. Owner's brother ...

Were ALL 26Xs equipped with a furler
Hi, all A friend wants to sell a 26X, but does not know if he has a furler (don't ask...). Were any of the 26X sold WITHOUT a furler? I am trying to save myself a trip to his boat to check the headsail for hank-ons or a lack thereof.... Thanks in advance! Regards Srdjan p.s. my own and every 26X I'v...

Re: Unscrewing stern A shaped pulpit?
I guess, although they are a bit too big/thick and might make leaning against the cockpit "wall" uncomfortable. Maybe one of those softer, smaller lids... Either way, the only way to access these bolts is by boring holes. Not the best MacGregor design solution....I might upgrade the cleats...

Re: Unscrewing stern A shaped pulpit?
Btw, I have to look on the transom wall - there might be a lid for access to the bolts!
Cannot recall if I saw one of those there....

Re: Unscrewing stern A shaped pulpit?
So, it is (for me) a fairly major undertaking - and I also have to access the rear bolts that attach the arch to the round plate....
Not looking forward to it...
Thank you for the photos Doug - that answers the question how the bolts are secured to the hull!

Re: Unscrewing stern A shaped pulpit?
Damn, I thought there would be an easier way to do this. It seems I will have to take the plunge and (try to) unscrew the screws, as there is no other way to weld the two parts back together. I was told welding these stainless steel pieces would generate the heat that would melt the GRP. I will prob...

Re: Unscrewing stern A shaped pulpit?
Checked it: I see absolutely no access from below. Has any member unscrewed the stern pulpit? Ever?

Re: Unscrewing stern A shsped pulpit?
Thank you!
I was hoping that someone has had the actual experience of removing the pulpit, so I do not have to dig around in the nether regions.... : )

Serg

Suzuki fuel hose price
Hi, all
I need a sanity check - why in the hull would a fuel hose for my DF60 cost USD 285??
Are there electronic components in it?
In EU, it is even worse - EUR 330. Is this for real?
Finally, is there a generic fuel hose I could use that would fit my 2001 DF60?
Thanks much! : )

"But, I tend to drop tools and parts overboard."
Me, too. But I kinda have to try it that way, I guess. Maybe not, if I decide to ask the marina owner to lift me up for a couple of hours....
