I have a pretty good gouge about 6" long in my rub rail, has anyone ever just replaced/spliced a small section?
Thanks,
Rick

Re: 2nd axle drawing
Thanks Chip...Just what I was looking for.
I think I'll skip the extra brakes, my trailer seems to do fine on our last 2000 mile round trip trip.

2nd axle drawing
A while back I saw a drawing of where to place the hangers for a 2 axle setup. I've tried to search for it but no luck. Anyone know of it or a link to it.
I'll also need info on what axle and springs to get.
Thanks

Re: Getting an X off the trailer
Thanks Ken. Here's a crude drawing of the hanger I made, after it slips over the frame I'll add the plate across the bottom of the frame. http://rickusa.com/hanger.jpg I hadn't thought about the weld having a weakning effect on the frame. :o I see your point, maybe I'll make a new hanger today befor...

Re: Getting an X off the trailer
Well, it's not fixed yet, but I have ground the old hanger off. Easier than I thought it would be. I thought I'd have to cut the fender off to have room to work. But the fender is bolted on, I thought it was welded on. I made a new hanger out of 1/4 in. steel. It's kind of like a u bolt. It hangs ov...

Re: Getting an X off the trailer
Thanks for the reply. I would likt to put the boat in the water but do you think I could dirve it with the front of the leaf spring not attached? I could bend the fender out of the way. My slip is about 40 min. away...with some interstate! I know what you mean about a lot of jacking. :| I'll do that...

Getting an X off the trailer
I was on my way to the lake today and 1 block from my house I make a right hand turn and the right tire goes off the road into a hole. I get a big bounce and then see smoke coming off my right tire. The tire is rubbing the fender. It broke the leaf spring hanger. I was able to get back home but now ...

Mast light won't work
I noticed my mast light won't come on. I went forward with a tester to see if I was getting power at the plug but couldn't figure out how to ground the tester. I just got the boat so I don't know if it worked when I got it but called the guy and he said it did. Are all the plugs the same? My boat is...

Towing Advice? (First Sailboat)
I've been reading post here for a while now. I decided the Mac is the boat I want.
I'll be picking up my 26X, this weekend. I'll be trailering it about 150 miles home. Is there anything I should really watch out for trailering this far?
thanks,
Rick
