New Genoa sail on CDI furler

I've bought a new Genoa sail to replace the worn out one. The old one is mounted on a CDI furler. Anyone have step by step instructions for changing out the sails? Video or Pix would be even better. People I've spoken to say it is an easy exchnage however I'm leary to try doing it alone. The Admiral...

DF40/DF50

I have a 2007 "Owner's Manual" for my DF50. I'd be happy to copy and mail it to you. I could try to scan it but not sure how all 74 pages would come out or if it would clog the email. The instructions are pretty straight forward. I have successfully changed my own oil, filter and gear oil ...

Repower

As long as your on this subject can you tell me how to have the rudders, DB and ballast set when trying to use the power of a 50HP or more motor. Even in smooth seas my "M" seems to get very squirrely and is hard to steer in a straight line over 10 knots. I don't feel comfortable unless I ...

forward wall of head

On a 2004 M is the foward wall of the head area a load bearing wall? I'm trying to make the head area more agreeable to the Admiral. I like the curtain idea that some have installed but the area is still very cramped. I was thinking I could remove the forward wall to at least make the space above yo...

Retro fit

Thanks to all of you who responded with great information (and great passion). Being of limited mechanical and electrical ability I guess I'll learn to love my early "M" model just the way she is. This is a great site for beginners like me and I look forward to contributing as I gain more ...

Early M retro fit

Has anyone heard of retro fitting the galley area of a 2003/2004 M into the port side sliding galley like the 2005 has?
I tried the MOD pages and Search but with no luck.

Spreaders

What is your recommendation for the Spreaders on trip of less then 5 miles? One one hand, they bump against the cabin when traveling down the road. On the other hand, it is one more thing to have to attach when your ready to raise the mast. Anyone have a "trick" of what to do with them? :m...
