2003 so 22 years. Time flies when you're having fun.

I removed my 26X helm seat 20 years ago and have had no issues.

Wow. My forward hatch gasket is installed on the hatch and not in the groove for the hatch. The gasket lands on the interior lip. It has been that way since I purchased in in 2003. It should make align easy.

Anybody make a replacement gasket for their stove? I was thinking of cutting a circle from an inner tube.
My 96 26X stove gasket was damaged about 10 years ago.

I used a hand impact. Big screw driver bit on one end and you wack the other end with a hammer.

Thanks. I was not looking at the "Gear Housing Driveshaft". I found the complete kit part number.

That is the Mercury site I went to and when I put in my s/n the only water pump parts listed is for a jet. Must be the same
parts.

Yup, that is what mine does. I usually shove it back into the slot and close the door too.

Has anyone glued the edging on the head door back on for a 26X? Which glue did you use?
