Auto release cleat.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy Sea Dog cleats? Auto release cleat part no. CL257 I Would really like to buy them online but have not been able to find them. I saw them in action on a short sailing trip we just got back from and they are much better than the rubber shork cords I use on my rudders...

New Glass 2
The drying time between coats is not 40 to 50 min. but 30 to 40 sec. There are great directions on the net. Mine has been on a year and its beautifull. I will add a few coats before I launch next week. Just for the extra protection I also use it under the water line. To remove New Glass I would get ...

Getting boat off trailer
1. Get your trailer tongue as close to the ground as you can. 2. Next block up the aft of the boat, I used 4 tires with air in them and a coulpe of 2 by 8's. 3. I used a beam in my boat house to connect two tuggets and strap. I've also used a large maple tree before I built my boathouse. or you coul...

Height of motor on transom
This is related to Info. that I picked up on mac26x list last year. A 2002 26X out of Tallahassee, Fl. had his motor dropped so that it fit the mounting bradket down on the to edge of the transom. Mine is one inch higher. The Florida boat is running a 11.75 x 10 prop. #581-30-zv5-860za. Both our boa...

Wire in Mast
Something I learned of the old Mac pages is to put a ty wrap every foot or so
as you feed the wire through the mast. Then you will never get any wire slap noise while at anchor.

Extra axle
Mark I agree with Chip the second axle is the way to go, unless you don't mind spending the money. I've attached a pic of the job I did on mine and it came out very well .I Have towed hundreds of miles and one emergency stop and it works great. If your interested I'll send the pic.s I took while add...

Buffing Liquid Glass
No buffing required,
www.newglass2.com
This is the one I used, found the bottle in my workshop and the address
was on it. It sounds like the same thing as polyglass and others.
I also used it on my chrome rims which go into the salt water and no
rust at all last season.

New Glass

The website is, www.newglass2.com Well worth checking out their site. My boat is an '01 and still looks fac...
