I'd suggest reaching out to the folks at BWY,
I spoke to them about questions I had regarding their products and they walked me through a lot, and new a ton about our boats.
It's sometimes hard to get ahold of them, but I called midweek during the day.

Re: Portland Oregon area members?
I ran into one of you at my home port this weekend. I didn't get your username, but I think it was MissionMac. I'm glad you made the trip up to our part of the river! You also reminded me to keep this series going. My next trip was a fun one! Jeff Yep, me and my son motored up to near washougal/cam...

Re: Portland Oregon area members?
We’ll have the check out the port over there. We haven’t headed up the gorge too much, but should, to learn the area. I never considered the Sandy River. How far “in” are you able to go? It’s always packed with people in the summer on that river, so it’d be nice to pull up and have our own space in ...

Re: Portland Oregon area members?
Thanks for these! I took at look at the marina in Astoria and then went up to Olympia and checked out the ports in the South Sound Area. I’d love to trailer up there and cruise around the south sound for a week. It’d also be fun to sail/cruise down the Columbia with the current to Astoria and traile...

Re: Portland Oregon area members?
Thanks for the pics. I love that area. We’ve been playing around hayden island and up the willamette a bit, as well as the Multnomah channel.
There’s lots of beautiful places out there on the Columbia.

Re: Portland Oregon area members?
Ran past a nice 26m in the Multnomah channel today. Had a whole bunch of BWY gear on it as well. There’s a few of us out here apparently.
I asked if the posted here, but didn’t catch the name.

Re: mods video
I loved his vids…
Inspired a lot of my plans and things I’ve done…
I’ve got almost as many as his boat, I’m thinking to do a similar setup to help out others like he did me.
Between that boat and Doc’s MacGregor on YouTube, there’s lots of cool ideas.

Re: Portland Oregon area members?
I picked up from Washington, and sail out of slip in Portland a ‘12 26M.
If you have issues with yours, I’m around. No long trips yet, but I still go out as weather permits!

Re: MacGregor 26 and torqeedo deep blue
It’s an interesting thought experiment, with likely removing the ballast altogether and replacing it with a pack, but looks like it’s 25k plus batteries, and with a pretty limited range compared to fuel. I love my Tesla, and its range and charging is ideal for my needs, but can’t imagine the cost/ra...

Re: 26M fuel tank
They fit fine… I don’t like the caps though, as they swell…. I’ll have to figure out a hack on the caps to let them vent and make the epa mad.

I’ll update when I get the one o just ordered to replace a sun damaged one. I believe, from everything I’ve been able to find, that it should work.

Re: “Southern Star” - Bringing a 26m back to Adventure.
Thanks. The only things needing care are just the result of neglect when storing her. The Jib Sail has a few repairable pieces to take care of, as it was kept uncovered on the roller furling and appears to have rubbed against a few places somewhere. The boom/sail was left on when they dropped the ma...

“Southern Star” - Bringing a 26m back to Adventure.
Hey all, I’ve just picked up “Southern Star”, a BWY Boat, sold to Dave and Stella Bishop, back in ‘12. I believe Dave went by “menkalos” here and posted a few of his mods. They had a blog, and it suddenly stops, and from what I can deduce, it appears the boat was sold by them soon thereafter, and fr...
