Re: Getting up to the top of my mast
Point taken. I'll lower the mast or find another place for the dish. I'm already building a truss for my solar setup so maybe the dish can go there instead of the mast.

I'm a big fan of original vintage Jerry Cans. This video explains why.

Getting up to the top of my mast
My Starlink dish will be here in a week and when it does, I'm going to need to go up to the top of the mast to mount & install it. I was also thinking of taking this as an opportunity to install a radar and adjust my wind vane. I really don't want to take the mast down as I finally have the rig ...

Re: Engine Tune-up Item/ New Fuel Tank Suggestions
I went with this one. I keep it under the driver's seat behind the helm. It's held up great and has its own fittings and level gauge.

Re: Bottom Paint
I just got my boat back from paint on Sunday. Based on @kurz's suggestion I went with coppercoat so that I don't have this problem for another 10ish years. I think it turned out fantastic. Total cost was $1700 for 2 coats including labor. Thread from my bottom paint questions here . https://i.postim...

Effect of mods on resale value
Hi all, I have an :macx: that I've been extensively modifying. All new raymarine bits (chart plotter, wind/speed/depth gauges & transponders, radar, autopilot), new bathroom with marine toilet & holding tank, shower head & hot water, new bluetooth stereo inside and out, tons of emergency...

Re: Best autopilot for 26M
I just installed a raymarine EV100 wheel pilot on my boat. Install was incredibly straightforward and tied right in with the rest of my raymarine systems over Seatalk.

Re: 3D Printed Mast Cap
I really wish I'd seen this 2 weeks ago when I put my wind transducer on my mast. I ended up just using an aluminum L stock and drilling holes in the mast to bolt it up. https://i.postimg.cc/NKG9Syr5/67010520027-36-DDAF52-DA2-E-45-C5-904-D-A340-AC42-CD18.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Mfb00hg4/67010521205...

Re: Raymarine Axiom 7-RV MFD with RealVision Transducer
So I just ordered the A80498 flush mount kit from Binnacle. The plan is to use a 1/2" HDPE spacer mounted on the bulkhead, with the template cutout through the HDPE and the bulkhead together. The flush-mount kit looks like it adds another maybe 1/2", so together they'll gain about an inch...

Re: Lithium Battery Upgrade
What about the metal tubing? Did you just buy and bend your own or did you buy an existing Bimini and modify it? It looks like you cut up the existing stanchions on the boat itself as well.

Re: Best place for thru-hulls
So as was said by others “What’s the point of the ballast transfer tubes?” So I think that the tubes are there to ensure that water can easily flow into the forward part of the ballast tank. They probably also offer a lot of structural rigidity. There really isn't a whole lot of space in that "...
