July Cruise

Mark, you did a great job on the itinary. Thank you. Sign "Salty Dog" up in a number four pencil. I'll try to get hold of the necessary charts.
Question so I can have a reference point, Where is Lauritzen's Yacht Harbor?

Bimini trip

Sad about the hotel. Lot's of history lost. Bimini was a one time trip for us. Not a lot to do. Sorry about all the fal-da-ral about getting to Grand Bahama. I thought a late May early June crossing from Lauderdale would be great. Full tanks and four jugs would more than take me across with plenty t...

Hey people, what's the latest on Mead Madness. Haven't heard a thing since Feb 16th. Any last minute news? Any last minute tips? Is it still on? Please let's hear something. I'm planning to drive up and I need some "warm fuzzies" that there will be someone there. Roy " Salty Dog"...

Head shower

Having pressure water in the gally sink and head from a 26 gal bladder and a water pump, I installed a pull up shower hose and nozzle from WM in the head sink. A switch on the sink side turns on the shower pump to the head sole drain. Works great . Lady Navagator seems to fit in the head fine. She i...

Mead Madness

I've penciled the dates in on my new calendar.
I can make it this year since I now have a 4-stroke.
I'm looking forward to more info as the time gets closer.

Channel isle

I think a Apr/May meeting would be great but why not come up a little farther? Pismo?... Morro Bay? Well, where ever. Would it be a meeting at some fine restruant? We could get a seperate dinning room and dinner and party and plan. (I don't think Denny's does private rooms) Roy "Salty Dog"...

motor choice

I've got a Merc 60 hpEFI 4 stroke and love it. It has the grunt to move my "X" at over 20mph but at normal cruise speed gets double the milage over my old 50 HP 2 stroke. I think the big thing to consider is the 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke. After 2005 only four stroke motors will be alloed on an...

Call for Ideas.

I didn't make the bay cruise last year but wanted to. I think there are enough places on the Delta or the Bay that we could go back there this year. I personally would love to sail on either. I am signed up for the Channel Islands tour though, and hope this will not interfere with those dates. (July...
