Re: Suzuki DF50 - won't keep running....fuel pump?
The one we have is a 2005 - same as the boat. It indicates it has about 380 hours total on it, so probably not bad since it is a sailboat. We finally got the thing in the water yesterday after a frustrating setup - a topic for another group! The motor did stall a couple times, but I think it wasn't ...

Re: Suzuki DF50 - won't keep running....fuel pump?
Good tip to remember for storing it for the season. I did get ours running (I think - still have yet to get it in the lake and try for real), after $700 for repairs, then another trip back to the shop with the lower unit when I found it was full of more water than fluid. This boat has a lot of provi...

Re: Suzuki DF50 - won't keep running....fuel pump?
Ha! I've done that before on our Bayliner with the deadman clip pulled out accidentally. We figured it out and saved the day, but made me feel stupid, but more knowledgeable at the same time. The boat went into the shop down near Green Bay. We finally found a place that would work on the Suzuki so w...

Re: Suzuki DF50 - won't keep running....fuel pump?
Yep. I have a spark since I do hear it almost starting, and sometimes I get enough fuel in it to get it running for a few seconds - only in the high idle position of the lever on the throttle. It did run a few days ago after I hooked up the new fuel lines, plugs, filter and impeller. It didn't seem ...

Re: Suzuki DF 50
I'm having a similar problem, but suspecting I have a dead HP pump. How loud is the high pitched whine sound when it comes on? I'm not hearing anything on my DF50. I did check voltage and it is showing a good solid 12V for the 3 seconds when you turn the switch on, so that is ok and it should be get...

Re: Suzuki DF50 - won't keep running....fuel pump?
I did think of that. I removed the two old ones which were hard. I have he arrow pointing from the tank toward the engine. It does get firm and can feel fuel in it. Also, I did check the old one and felt it suck on the arrow input side and blow a little air on the arrow side, so I'm thinking it's so...

Suzuki DF50 - won't keep running....fuel pump?
We have a "new" (to us at least) 26M with a Suzuki DF50 engine. When I tested it our first time (changed plugs, fuel filter, impeller) it started fine and seemed to run ok. I was hoping to run it 15 minutes (on the hose of course), warm it up, change oil....etc and have it ready for first ...

Re: 2005 26M jib block option question.
Oops... sorry I got the wrong URL there (corrected my original post), but it seems everyone understood my question. It's this one - http://shop.bwyachts.com/product-p/4302-1v0.htm Is there any reason that this wouldn't work versus the other $70 blocks? (Saving money is always a good thing obviously)...

2005 26M jib block option question.
Our newly acquired 26M (2005) is missing the jib sheet blocks on the roof of the cabin. The tracks are there, but no blocks. The genoa pulley/blocks are in the back near the cockpit though. Looking at the Blue Water Yacht page, the sell the jib blocks -- http://shop.bwyachts.com/product-p/4304-1v0.h...

Re: Battery to Fuse panel routing? Fuse values?
Just a suggestion on your Ford Expedition... Look at the connections carefully, you will find that the connection has corrosion or a poor crimp joint. The cold contracts and pulls a connection to be intermittent. Start at the breaker and methodically work your way through the immediate connections ...

Re: Battery to Fuse panel routing? Fuse values?
Good idea! That breaker looks familiar. Same thing on the back wall of our Ford Expedition that seems to have a bad connection there on the breaker when winter temps get down below -10F in the winter. :D Tom It is a 60 Amp manual reset circuit breaker with sufficient capacity to handle starting our ...

Re: Battery to Fuse panel routing? Fuse values?
My experience has been that most older trailers/caravans/boats bought second hand will need re-wiring to some extent - and I was pleasantly surprised with the MAC. The original (as we bought it) battery wiring went straight to the isolation switches and then via a small fuse panel (not original) up...

Re: Battery to Fuse panel routing? Fuse values?
Does anyone have an idea where the fuse on the positive lead from the battery to the fuse panel is located? I'm suspecting (hoping) that is the part that is preventing power from getting to the fuse panel. I just can't find it, or find any terminal in the back of the boat to the main battery cables ...

Re: Mainsheet traveler replacement?
Does anyone know if there is an equivalent replacement for this? Is BWY the only dealer for Macregor parts other than the random Ebay used market?

Re: Mainsheet traveler replacement?
I would call BWY and ask if parts are available. The problem is that it's a piece of marine hardware and the "boat tax" is always applied. Just sent an email. Hopefully, they can just sell us the car piece with cams. I don't need the track. Yep, I'm very aware of the "boat tax" ...
