Re: Cooking gadgets - show yours
No special equipment. Just your standard Origo single burner stove. We do have a couple go-to items that are easy to prepare on board. The pancake mix is great because you just add water. https://smile.amazon.com/Crocker-Bisquick-Baking-Pancake-Buttermilk/dp/B0010VO7ES https://smile.amazon.com/Dinty...

Re: Box measurements for the X rear berth?
This is really clever! We do sleep in the aft berth but only on the port side. I think I'll give this a try. Thanks!wakataka wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 6:02 pm I found the post with a photo of the boxes tied into a loop in the Mods section

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
Totally got me off track by stating the total tow distance in your original post. I'm not the brightest bulb in the box. :? That's what confused me too! As far as the one-way parking lot goes, I ran into the same thing last month. I would have had to leave the mast down and put it up on the water b...

How often do we really crank those winches on Macs though, really?

>>>Why not just rig the boat in the parking lot right next to the ramp? What am I missing? I do but have to take it down because of all the powerlines, see the video from 7:30 on, my brother asks the same question in the lot. Eddy OK I think I get it now. Your OP made it seem like you were driving ...

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
I wouldn't drive that far with the mast rolled back. Is there a parking lot nearer the ramp, before the bridge, where you can get set up? I regularly launch at a ramp that has a bridge in between the parking lot and ramp. I get everything set up in that parking lot except raising the mast, drive dow...

Typically liquids are not compressible, except under extreme conditions.Tomfoolery wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 5:41 am Water is compressible, like (presumably) all liquids, and increasing the temperature within a fixed volume definitely will increase the pressure (same as a lump of steel not allowed to change size/shape).

Dang Bill, I had to Google maps your location after seeing that picture. Looks like boater's paradise! Right on a navigable river with tons of marinas that runs right out to the gulf?! And now I want to go to Who Dat Bar and Grill.

Re: New Electronics Package for US Inland Trips
Nice setup! How useful do you find the AIS display? Does it have collision warnings? I just got a new SH handheld that I really like so not in the market for a new handheld but I am thinking of getting an a SH Matrix 2400GX (my current fixed VHF doesn't seem to transmit for some reason) and outputti...

Wow Jimmy, what's better than having your boat in your house ? Tom, can't say I'm jealous of the snow, but nice setup! You could almost squeeze it in that garage, lol! The convenience of a slip can't be overstated. We tend to go to a different place (lakes, rivers, ocean) each time so it wouldn't wo...

Flaunt Your Boat's Home
As someone who lives in a condo and has to keep his boat in a yard, something that makes me insanely envious is seeing how people store their boat. Whether it be a long driveway in front of or next to their house, a custom slab, a massive garage, or even a spot of dead grass in their yard. All of th...

I am refurbing my 26X OEM steel trailer and was goin...

Re: MacGregor designed the Cabin Companionway Panel to store under the rear swing seat
But it has only just now occurred to me that the Captain's Seat has that little security lanyard dangling underneath it with a clip to attach to the port lifeline to keep the odd rogue breeze from turning it into a fiberglass guillotine. Bahahaha! Talk about inanimate objects with ominous auras. Th...
