Sadly the trailer on my new to me Mac 26d is very rusty. I rapped on it with a hammer and feel it is relatively safe however I would like to replace the trailer. Is it possible to use a trailer that has longitudinally mounted bunks? I suspect the bunks are positioned in a strong part of the hull but...

Still sailing here in sunny so cal. Took the Mac 26D to Big Bear lake and enjoyed some brisk sailing!
