New mast questions/sugestions
Well, my mast is bent, I think from the side stays being too tight. I am going to order a new mast predrilled for my 2002x from BWY. Any suggestions on upgrades to add or how to make cannibalizing the old mast easier? Are rivers ok for fastening things to the mast?

Re: Prop help
So what would be the dimensions of pitch and size for a three blade propeller for a Honda bf50 for fuel efficiency over speed? The answer probably depends on what you mean by fuel efficiency. If you want to go at hull speed or less, then a 15 or 20 hp OB would be best, propped to top out at engine ...

Re: Airhead compost toilet install
I drilled through the floor in the head and screwed them in with self tapping screws. The porta-pottie our boat came with had brackets screwed like that into the floor, so there are no worries about using self tapping screws. The head, including floor, is a liner unit which sits above the ballast t...

Re: Marina etiquette upon arrival
You assumed correctly Cap'n. I don't know how far East Or West you're starting. I'm at the beginning of the LI Sound in Bayside Marina & across the way is City Island, NY. We're the first marinas NW & NE after the Throgs Neck Bridge. The start of the LI Sound. We hail on Ch 72. & so doe...

Airhead compost toilet install
I’m going to be installing an airhead on my 2002 26x. What’s the best way to install the brackets? Screw down, rivet, or 4200? If I screw it down, is there the ballast tank underneath to worry about?

Marina etiquette upon arrival
New to boating in saltwater, will be exploring the Long Island sound. What’s the etiquette for arrival in a marina, I figure reach out via vhf or cell phone and be guided by the harbor master, but wasn’t sure and wanted to know how you guys handle entering a marina for the first time.

Prop help
Can someone school me on propellers? I need to buy a new one for my 2002 26x with a Honda bf50. I want fuel efficiency over low end grunt. Also trying to decide between aluminum and stainless steel. My old aluminum one got bent backing into my berth.

Re: Harbor maneuvers at low tide. SUP PADDLES?
The sup with paddles are long and strong enough to double as poles. How do you flush a 2002 Honda 50?

Harbor maneuvers at low tide. SUP PADDLES?
Well, took my first outing on my 2002 Macgregor 26x. Had a blast, but we went out and came back at low tide, in about a foot of water. Got out fine but had trouble getting back in as it involved reverse. Also concerned about a muddy motor. I also stand up paddle and wondered if it would be a dumb id...

Drop in shower/washdown solution
Does this look like it would be a good option for a drop in pressure water supply for us? I think you could replace the sprayer head/hose with something more suitable or even attach it to a sink. http://m.northerntool.com/products/shop~tools~product_200624833_200624833?adv=false&cm_mmc=Google-pl...

Re: Ais and chart plotter combo.
Eodjedi- Yeah I pretty much decided, when I do it it will be one fell swoop of ray marine products, probably the quantum radar package. No sense piecemealing it and having to hire an electrician multiple times. Nice aft- Lake George NY? I think I've seen you out there while aboard my friends boat th...
