Question for you Canucks out there
Calling all Canadians... where is the cheapest place in Eastern Canada (Anywhere to the right of Ontario) to get a gallon of West System 105 and a quart of 205? The last stuff I bought was from Binnicle in Halifax and was $130 for 105 and $62 for the 205. Totally for the epoxy along with shipping an...

Re: New companionway hatch :D
Freedom77: Its a variety of woods.... some oak and some softwood. No offense to anybody that goes out and buys teak but personally I think it's a huge waste of money for a boat like this. Realistically even pine, if above the water line will probably outlast me on a trailer sailor and even if after ...

New companionway hatch :D
Hey all I was just out working on a new hatch for the 222 and figured I'd share some pics to see what you all think of it so far. So far I have the frame 'dry' installed, no sealant on it as of yet. The next step is to make the boards to seal her up. Let me know what you think of the frame :) btw......

The upper left should hold a rubber bumper, the right is your locking bolt and the bottom is the pivot.

Re: Any photos of what masthead for 222 should look like?
Thanks for the picture. I guess my forstay bracket is the proper one... it seems super chincy but I guess that's all a small boat like this needs

jkfinity can you take a picture of the front of your mast so I can see the bracket for the forstay? Mine looks like something that a previous owner may have rigged up

Re: Running rigging and spreaders
I guess I'll have to make up some spreaders and the tips for the shrouds to run through. Does anybody know the length of the original spreaders for 222's?

Running rigging and spreaders
Hey all I'm the new owner of a 75' Venture 222 (also new to sailing) that needs a fair bit of work. It has absolutely no running rigging so I need to know what running rigging I need, what size and type of line and how many feet long (approx.) each line should be. Also the spreaders are missing and ...
