I agree
Radiator hose is in my M25. I have a 8hp Merc and although I very rarely use it a full throttle I wish I had gone for one with an alternator to charge my batteries. You certainly don't need anything more powerful than a 10HP and be sure the bracket is appropriate for both the weight and torque of th...

background
I responded to the poll a couple months back, but never gave any details. We bought an '84 Mac 25 3 years ago and camp on it during the warm weather. I think we were out 12 times this summer, all but one a camping trip. We sailed Invader ZIM on Lake Berryessa, Scotts Flat, Oroville, and Tahoe. All l...

How will you use it?
My wife and I camp on our '84 Mac 25 and I really long for the aft berth of the 26. She sails fine (well, considering we are using the original main), but it is a bit crowded in the v berth.

M25
might be too heavy for your Nissan. I have an '84 and love it for trailerability, handling and weekending, but it is 3,500 empty.
More comfort in a 26 (aft berth) and water ballst, that may be your best option.

Re-read original post
and realized the question was time between leaving the trailer to sail off. ??????? Divecos hit it, I would be keel hauled or worse for tying up the dock for more than 5-10 minutes. The posted limit is 15 minutes of dock time at our launch ramp with 6 lanes (1 dock for six lanes of launching boats)....

40 minutes
Saturday we had ZIM sailing away from the dock 1/2 hr after entering the parking lot on a day my wife didn't really want to go out, but it usually takes a bit longer. I carry the engine in my truck because I don't trust the motor mount, but other than that my routine is about the same as SPC Paul. M...

I did
Bought my '84 Mac 25 off a consignment lot two years ago. Put new brakes and tires on the trailer and engine on the boat and would do it all again in a second.
