Re: Dinghy!
Thanks everyone for each of your replies. NiceAft - Hey neighbor! Yes, 99% of all my boating is along the shore area. The are no silly questions. I'd come straight to you concerning activities in the Delaware! Feel free to ask me anything about the bay area. I'm now by Great Bay and will have the bo...

Dinghy!
Anyone tow or bring along a dinghy? I'm back to putting my boat at a marina. Keeping it on a trailer just doesn't allow for nearly as much use. Just a couple of more projects and I should be ready for launch. Got to thinking though.... I'm near the coast and have quite a few bays in the area to expl...

Ughh... As a fellow BF 50 owner all I can do is sympathize. Hope it all works out. Please do keep us in the loop.

Re: High Sides
That high freeboard can be downright dangerous... I USED to keep my boat at a friends slip in a canal. Took me about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the bay but it was always a pleasant trip and I never was in a rush. Additionally it was free. :) Couple of times it would get a bit "frisky"...

Re: Where are the Leaks and the Bilge?
The only time I ever had a "leak" on my 26M was when I left the hatch cover open overnight and we had a rain storm. Battery box appeared to be the lowest point along with the area under the aft bunk.

Re: What will you miss most about your Mac when you size up to another boat?
Shallow draft is a huge problem for me. Heck I manage to unintentionally beach my boat on all the sandbars around here that I've given up on using my dagger board. The only thing I would consider would be a cat for the shallow water. I don't have 250k laying around so it'll continue to be me and my ...

I love the stories I read on here sometimes. Boat makes me laugh (with ya, not always at ya). I don't always have time to type a reply and thank you all for the wonderful entertainment. So uhhh Thanks!

Re: Replacing the Fuel Line
Thanks for the link to Defender. Quite a bit cheaper than the other place I checked. I didn't even think to keep the old one as a spare. I just figured as old as it was that it was best left for trash. Jersey shore is not exactly the best place to sail, but it suits the Mac well. I probably would ha...

Replacing the Fuel Line
Fuel line is 11 years old. Figured with all this ethanol stuff going around ruining and melting things that I should replace my line this year. Any (cheaper) recommendations than the OEM line? Figured I better replace the bulb, line, and possibly the connectors. Honda 50 if that makes a difference. ...

Your mods, ideas, and boat are beastly. Welcome (probably late) to the best sailing forum on the net. This group was one of the single largest reasons I got a Mac instead of a generic sailboat

I've been reading it nearly daily. It's a great read and well worth adding to anyone's blog list. Heck, it's a great read and he hasn't even started sailing yet!

Just wanted to welcome you from another 2005 26M owner. I bought mine this year, blank like yours, but didn't even have a name. Named it Tipsea now and she seems to like it.

Re: Battery drain?
As others stated. Check the battery. No way would I ever consider my gps alone draining a battery. Either it wasn't charged, something else has drained it, or it's dead.
