Re: Aft Berth area
I wasn't looking for more flotation, I was looking for a way to seal a leak. I sealed around everything with caulking and there doesn't appear to be any more leaking. Thank you for all your suggestions but took the advice from the admiral who said "That idea sucks, don't do it." So there y...

Aft Berth area
In the aft berth area there is a panel that separates the transom from the said berth. Has anyone sealed that area with expanded foam to prevent leaks? Do you think that is a worthwhile idea? Thanks for any comments.

Re: Winterizing for leaving in Chesapeak slip?
We left our 26X in the slip at Lake Pend Oreille in northern Idaho manly because I have work to do on the trailer. We go up every couple of weeks to check and run the OB. The air temp gets down in the teens while the lake temp is 41 degrees. I left 2 bottles of water in the cabin and was surprised t...

Just talked to Ezra and everything is cool. Part of my order is back ordered, just a little communication problem.

Blue Water Yachts
I placed an order with BWY using there new online parts store. The order was for a halyard aft kit and a new line for a halyard. I've been checking my order and all it says is that it is being processed. When ordering in the past using the old system, the orders were processed immediately. I contact...

Re: Anchoring Out on Lake Merwin, Mt. St. Helens
Lake Crescent on the Olympic Peninsula looks like a nice lake to sail on. Went by there a couple of weeks ago and it had a nice wind blowing, this is one of our future destinations.

Re: Exploring South Puget Sound
We have our 26x on Lake Pend Oreille in Northern Idaho with the idea of taking it out in March and going to our daughters near Olympia, they live on a nice lake there, and maybe putting it in the South sound. Maybe go down the Columbia to Astoria, OR to get some fish and chips.

What roller furling do you have? You may have adjust the turnbuckle or adjust the back stay. Are you using the jib winch?

Re: What's the exact Mast Raising System procedure on Mac 26
You use the jib halyard and hold on to the roller furling while raising the mast, helps if you have another person. I bought the MRS that uses the winch, name escapes me (brain fart), that allows you to pause without lowering the mast to unhook stays etc. that are caught. Best investment I.ve made.

Something similar happened near here recently with tragic results. Some fishermen spotted the car in the morning but didn't report it until hours later.

Re: Launching Mac with RV
There are some great posts here. I like Boat's idea of a tank tank with the MD and Sprinter chassis. Just went to RV show and the Winnebago was disappointing as far as quality goes, plus the new ones cost way too much. If you go to Craigslist, beware. There was a 2006 MD View for $10,000 including s...

Re: Launching Mac with RV
We have a camper but are looking for something with a little more room. There are places we would like to go but towing the Mac wouldn't be practical. Also, when my wife has to do her business, she would just like to walk back and do it without stopping. For me I have to stop no matter what.

Launching Mac with RV
My wife and I are considering buying a class C RV and wondering if there might be issues launching our Mac SX. We currently have a Dodge Ram 2500 and launch without problems.
