Re: Spinnaker for 26m
Let me know how the recurring goes. The dimensions of my spinnaker are only about 1/2’foot off the Doyle ones, though that doesn’t address the “belly”.

Spinnaker for 26m
Looking for suggestions and ideas on how to pull this off for SF bay and delta sailing with a spinnaker. As a former racer I love the beauty of a spinnaker and was able to find two lightly used ones for sale which I bought. One is for a Catalina 27 with dimensions of 30.5’ luff and leach (symmetrica...

Mac trade
We would love to sail the Florida Keys but our 26m in California. Ideally we might trade a week or so on either lake taboe (we have condo and dock) or in Bay Area (we have dock space on he delay near Sf bay). Or we trail our boat...

Re: Multi-day Sailing on Lake Tahoe
We have a condo at Tahoe Keys with a dock and a 26m. We have sailed to emerald bay and moored. No costs or reservations needed. For 2018 our co-owner will bring his speedboat so we will keep our Mac in Pittsburgh marina (east Bay Area, end of delta, so a river that goes out towards SF bay). To trail...

Re: Can I fly this?
I was able to get a Catalina 27 symmetrical spinnaker and want to use with my 26m. It is 30'x16.5'. In planning this, we would add a new halyard above the current hound or at top to avoid fouling with CDI. I thought we would first try to fly it as a symmetrical with sheets and tweakers (twangs-do Ma...

Furling Main
We got a Mac26M with a roller furler for the main. I can't find any instructions on how it the furling line should be led to allow it to furl. Happy to send a photo but don't know 1) which direction it should furl, and 2) how the line that goes through the boom should be connected to the turning spi...

Re: 26m engine stalling every 5 min plus furler problem.
Well, we made sure the vent was open in the gas tank but it still stalled after 5 minutes. I am thinking that we should get a second tank with the hose connections in case that is the issue. I know since 2006 they changed the way tanks connect. Any suggestions on where to go to get a new tank with c...

CDI Furler issue
Our boat came with a CDI furler but the roller part doesn't seem to sit correctly. See this photo:

Any suggestions? The line rolls around the white part, not the roller and we can't seem to get it seated correctly.

Re: 26m engine stalling every 5 min plus furler problem.
Thanks for the help. We read all the MacGregor manuals and tried to find documentation for the e-tec 60 and only were able to find the owner's manual, not the maintenance manual. My husband did the spark plugs and has lots of experience with changing them for cars, and with the help of the great You...

26m engine stalling every 5 min plus furler problem.
We are new owners of a boat that sat for a few years. We have 2006 e-tec 60 engine. We can't go more then 5 min withou our engine stalling! We replaced all fuel with chevron, drained the transmission fluid and replaced that, changed the fuel filter, the spark plugs! I think the fuel isn't flowing fr...
