Carrying your Dinghy motor

Oh, I'm sure it is in here somewhere but search didn't find it. How do you carry your dinghy motor.? I'll be pulling the dinghy behind me and don't want to leave the motor on it. Is there a clamp for the :macx: ? Or, do you have a better way. Please share your experiences.

Thanks,
Dan

That darn swing keel on my 26X

I've read the posts about fixing the rope etc and have a question. The easiest looks like to put it in the water then fix it. However, the water temp is 56 right now. Nope, I'm not going in that water! :? So, crank up the trailer block the boat (don't let it slide off the back) and then lower the tr...

Oh good grief Highlander, maybe in a dinghy but never on one of those things. Just look at what happened to the one that sank. COLD. WET AND out a pile of money. No thanks. LOL

Bottom paint or Bottom Wax?

I am familiar with bottom paint. And because of that I'm always looking for an alternative. Have any of you tried this stuff? The reviews look good. The cost is a bit high. Can't find the coverage chart though.

Does anyone use boating cards?

We all know what business cards are, but the other day I made new friends. They have a boat and gave me a boat card. They exchange cards with other boaters so they can keep track of all the boating friends they run into. It sounded like a good idea so I had some made up. Picture of boat, name of boa...

How do you attach things in the cabin?

I'm talking about a paper towel holder, cups, spice racks, you know, hanging things to make organizing a little easier. Where do you put your plates and silverware?? Curtain and/or shades. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of stuff that needs to be stored, but how do you do it. Screws, velcro what? :| Th...

Re: what would you recommend as a Dinghy for my 99 26x

Thanks Herschel. Now I'm waiting for my "ship to come in" Everything is done paperwork wise. Have $ in escrow until they get the motor running (maybe just start it or maybe it needs something) and the anchor box drain hooked back up. AND the rest of the snow to melt and the lakes to loose ...

The Achilles dinghy is in my garage. This one is red. Should be easier to spot in a sea of grey dinghies at the dinghy dock.
Neat. Can you post a picture of this red "Rubber Ducky"? Herschel

Try as I will, I guess I don't know how to post an image.

Re: what would you recommend as a Dinghy for my 99 26x

I bought the Achilles LS-4. Let me know what you think when you get yours. By the way, I enjoyed a nice stay at Grand Haven last June. We camped for a long weekend at your Grand Haven campground. Looked like a nice area to have a Mac. 8) I really like this area but when I retire (August) I want to ...

Dan, I know I am "beating a dead horse" here, but I was thumbing through my new Overton catalog last night and discovered a pressure gauge for inflatables. I thought I would throw it out there in case your WM inflatable doesn't come with one. Cheers 8) http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...

Re: what would you recommend as a Dinghy for my 99 26x

Another question is if you get an inflatable, and store it onboard somewhere, what are you capable of lifting comfortably? My Achiles folds up into a neat package about 2' x 4' (estimated), but it weighs 75 lbs.(34K), and the 6hp Merc four stroke weighs about 50 lbs. (22.6 K). These numbers you sho...
