Re: Any MAC owners in the Baltimore / Chesapeake area?
I out of Norfolk, VA. I am currently deployed but, will be back there this Winter. I plan to fix/upgrade my 26M over the winter as she has been trailered on my cousin's farm for the last three years. I would be interested in doing a Mac roundup in the Chesapeake Bay sometime in 2018.

Re: Inlet / Outle Valve
I believe that Blue Water Yachts sells the O-Ring for about $3. However, it is my understanding that you still have to remove the 3" valve to be able to replace the seal. They also have the replacement valve and extension handles for the valve. Good Luck.

Re: Complete Raymarine System Installation into a 2010 26M
KCMJ.... Its been a few years since you did the mod. I am thinking about doing something similar with my 26M. I think the I am set with the A98 and a P70R for the autopilot also but am trying to figure out where I want to place it in the boat. How has it worked out for you having it mounted in the C...

Re: Inboard fuel tank?
There is a mod here where someone put a 26gal water bag under the aft berth. According to the web, the plastimo 26gal water bag measures 27.5 x 41 3/8, it doesn't list the height and I don't know if they fill the bag all the way. (I would not use the bag for fuel, just getting a rough measurement) M...

Re: 26m engine stalling every 5 min plus furler problem.
The engine stalling sounds like a simple fix. Just open the vent valve on the tank. I too have the problem with fuel splashing out if the vent is open so I keep them closed when the engine is not in use. When I run the engine I just crack the vent a little bit. When I forget to crack the vent the en...

Re: Best. Boat Name. Ever.
We went with the "Rats Nest". Because I have always called my kids little rats always getting into everything and causing mischief. When we go on sailing trips they all go in the boat and nest. Then they will go and build blanket forts up on deck. Always gathering up stuff, moving it aroun...

Thanks Judy. I have been researching forums and reading "Sail Power" by Wallace Ross and am trying to put it in perspective for my boat. I will be ordering from you in the near future. Thanks for your assistance!

Re: Stunning new sails from Judy B! YAY!!!!
Thanks for your replies! You all have helped me in my decision. You all seem to enjoy the performance of the heavier sails. However, how have they held up over the years? Do they still hold their shape, are they thinner, how much use have you gotten out them, how much life do you think is left in th...

Re: Wind direction indicator on rotating mast
My thoughts on the Pegasus Aeronautics Fly or Sail are PRO. PRO: Made by Macgregor 26M Owner. Extreme attention to detail and over 10yrs of testing and perfecting Comparably priced to name brand non rotating sensors. NMEA compatible with existing equipment. CON: Unsure about warranty or future servi...

Re: Stunning new sails from Judy B! YAY!!!!
So, It is time to replace my aging 2004 Factory sails on my 26M. I am strongly considering the Judy B sails, yours look beautiful. How have they held up over the years. How do they sail compared to the factory ones? Which weight and fabric did you go with. I am looking at the 6.03 Dacron for the 150...

What is everyone's thoughts on the AIRMAR 150WX http://www.marine-electronics-unlimited.com/airmar-150wx-weatherstation.html Its an ultrasonic wind sensor with built in GPS, Baro, compass, and 3 axis gyro. I too am looking for the ever elusive plug and play wind sensor. So if I put this ontop of the...

Re: Rear Berth Internal Gas Tank
Thanks for the replies everyone. They all look really nice and almost like what I want on my boat. So from what I can tell, at least 3 people have added tanks to the rear berth and all 3 have different tanks. Jean-Francois has a 27gal, KcMclemore has a 18gal, and the "Windarra" has a 12gal...

Re: Rear Berth Internal Gas Tank
Aviro, I am intrigued by the 27gal tank that you installed on your Mac. Do you have any photos of the mod? How is the tank situated in the rear berth, fore and aft splitting the bed in two, or pushed against the back wall going athwartship? Do you sleep sideways on the bed now or can you still lay w...

Re: Rear Berth Internal Gas Tank
Erik, I agree with the Mac being stern heavy and I haven't even done my upgrades yet. When we were on the trip I would watch the speed climb every time the kids went up on the the bow. Also the bow would come down and she would just plane better. I also noticed that the more weight I put topside the...

Rear Berth Internal Gas Tank
So, I will start off with I am a long time Stalker of this site and first time poster. I have read several forums on internal gas tanks and I understand the pro's and cons. For me shifting the weight lower in the boat with a properly ventillated and plumbed tank is very appealing. It would free up c...
