Re: The Bomb exploded on my Motor (a bit long)

I feel like you should post the name of this alleged mechanic. This way you might save other Etec owners from his ineptness. I had a similar problem where the mechanic told me he checked everything all day. His bill was 2000 dollars Since I only had 10 hrs.on the motor Bombardier agreed to give me f...

Mount

My favorite mounting that I saw somewhere in here but of course can't find when I need it entails gluing 4 chair leg floor protecters to the top of the motor case for the gen feet to fit into and tieing it to stern mast holder.

Noise

Well, I haven't compared it to the Honda or Yamaha, but due to being encased it's a lot more quite than my open framed ones.

2k digital generator

Just saw an ad at PEPBOYS for 2k digital generator that I bought last year for $500 on sale for $249. Dang, I love this recession! Anyhow this works perfect powering my 5000 btu A/c unit in the boat.

E-TEC 60

I would go with the E-tec 60hp. MacGregor must have figured they are the best thing since white bread. Of course I may be prejudiced.

3k catalytic heater

I use a 3k btu catalytic heater and tried it in near freezing weather in the driveway. Worked out fine. No CO1 or smoke alarms. cabin was snug even with 35f outside air. I'd imamgine it would be even warmer out in the lake half submerged in warmer water.

Mine too leaks

I'm bringing it to the dealer this week for a new prop and motor controls. He can fix the leak at the same time. I'll let you know what it turns out to be.

boats4sale

I read so many posts by Bill before I bought my boat that I traveled from Louisiana to buy one from him. I don't know if he's the best but I sure like him.
