Re: Mac 19 strange battery terminals = stock?
The original battery from factory is under the starboard seat. We’ve moved our battery under the V berth, had to extend the battery cables, but did not leave old connecters there, as it sounds like the PO did.

Re: celebrating 20 years of Mac ownership
Purchased our Mac 19 in April 1996 and still love it today. 27 years, thought we would up grade to an X but the 19 was too good for what we do.

Yes, I have a 6hp as a kicker for fishing and it will go 5-6 mph wide open, pretty loud though.

The first year the 19 was made 1992 it did not have spreaders, backstay and had a fractional rig. FYI the first 10 models were red!

Re: M19 inspection ports
I opened up those plates a couple of times on Dee Seas and replaced the rubber washers. Mark the plate to the floor as the screw holes were randomly drill at the factory! I resealed with 4200 no leaks

Re: M19 Inspection port mode
Reapply with 4200 or similar it's more of a chaulking, 5200 is like a glue. Way easier to remove ports and clean.

Re: Another Mac 19 Tohatsu question
Under power at speed water is forced up the rudder posts, those holes allow that water to drain.
