Re: IDA Tiller, Rudder & Daggerboard 26D
I'm sorry all I have is the rudder, tiller and dagger board. They are all in very good condition. Kev, how was your boat destroyed while on land? (if you don't mind telling the story). If you do decide you're willing to ship your parts, private message me as i'd be interested in buying at least the...

Re: Turn Your 26C Into a 26R: Parts Guide
What about the spreaders? You are absolutely correct. The Sales Manager at the MacGregor factory recommended adding spreaders as well. I'm told they cost $144 from Blue Water Yachts. If anyone can research how to add spreaders, i'd be grateful. Like John above who has completed this rotating mast m...

Re: How to create a "For Sale" ad on this Board
The Classified Ads menu doesn't show up for me in Firefox (latest version). My initial thought is that you might have an ad blocking extension running in Chrome (????). -Hugo Yes you've solved it!!!! Last week I downloaded Chrome's new AdBlock software that Google put out: https://chrome.google.com...

I'm on an old laptop. Maybe my video display is not setup to show enough colors and those colors from the top menu aren't showing up? The laptop is running the Windows XP.K9Kampers wrote:MacNCheese-

Re: How to create a "For Sale" ad on this Board
I think I figured it out, I only use the Google Chrome Browser. Open your google Chrome browser and then go to your link. None of your top menu shows up. However, now that I know they're there, i can hover my mouse around until I find them by accident. Google Chrome is a popular browser, perhaps Hea...

Re: How to create a "For Sale" ad on this Board
I promise you, there is no "Post Ad" link at that link you sent me to: http://www.macgregorsailors.com/photoads/viewads.php In fact, that whole top menu from your image does not exist when I go there. I only see a way to search the classifieds. Does anyone see it when you click his link? P...

Re: US Canada crossings, landings, lake borders..was Maine coast
Makes me think of things like if a very small thin boat could avoid radar or if a "stealth" boat could be built out of special materials to avoid radar like those "stealth" jets, lol! How about this?... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7266/7769258172_09a9f0972a.jpg http://farm9.st...

Re: Maine Coast
Radar. They really do. You have to land and report in before anyone leaves the boat or...... If you sail into Canadian waters, but don't land, you have not been deemed to leave the Us, so no reporting necessary on the US side. I dont know the applicable Canadian regs. Thanks for the info. Makes me ...

US Canada crossings, landings, lake borders..was Maine coast
thread split for topic You may want to consider Moosehead Lake (Maine) in the future. Desolate and 40 miles in length, I googled a motel located in Greenville, ME (on the shores of Moosehead) for $100 a night which included a dock for your boat. We hope to travel there next year. Imagine drifting a...

Re: Possibly buying a Mac 25 and looking for some advice
If your willing to wait and keep watching CraigsList.org, you will eventually find a 26C at the same low prices as your 25. I bought a Florida 26D last year for $800zoneboy wrote: I really wish the prices of the 26c were as low as the 25 because then I wouldn't have to worry so much about .

Thanks Catigale let me know. I'll need that mast step to have a flat base to adapt to the MacGregor if possible.Catigale wrote:I might have a spare mast step for a Hobie in my last batch of pat parts I bought on "steerage wars"

Live Near New Hampshire or Boston & Know How To Rig a Mac?
I returned from Philly to New Hampshire last night with a Hobie 18 mast, boom, mast step, rigging and sails (every part I could get off the Hobie). Several others on the other forum have successfully used the Hobie 18 mast to replace the Mac 26C one on their boats. I will also find a way to follow i...
