Judy has the right idea but it you want someone to take a quick look and perhaps take some specific pictures, I'm not far away.
Shoot me an email at steveb48 @ aol. com if I can help.

Re: Launching in a swell
Hi Bob, I did exactly that and saw lots of ways not to do it! We went down to Santa Cruz Harbor a month ago to look around and have lunch at the Crows Nest. It also happened to be a race day. I spent some time on the ramp and helped a couple of folks that got their boats sideways on the while trying...

Re: Android chartplotters
I have the Navionics app running on my Droid X. The app is great but I need to have the phone on the charger and I don't like having to take the phone out of the holster to see where I'm going. It would be better mounted somewhere. I'm also concerned about spray but my son has a waterproof case on h...

Re: 1971 venture 222
Hi,
My mast is down so I can't take rigging pictures right now. Here's a link to rigging pictures that I found useful.

Re: New 222 Shakedown run
My guide is mounted right below the flair in the sail track, about 5.5" above the boom gooseneck (center to center). Here's a link to the spinlock page.

Launching in a swell
Hi all, I've had my V222 for a few months now and have launched into SF Bay in 2 places, both very calm with no swell. I'd like to head out to Monterey Bay, launching in Santa Cruz so I went down to have a look. The ramp is very steep and they have wheel chocks which they recomend you use. Ok that's...

Re: New 222 Shakedown run
I may be able to take a picture of mine although the mast is down right now. I can certainly take a couple of measurements.

Re: New 222 Shakedown run
Hi, I just got my 222 a couple months ago. The previous owner had the same issue and added a mainsail feeder from Spinlock. It works great. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=16702&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=10102&su...

Re: Spinnaker rigging
I haven't tried to fly my spinnaker yet. The rigging the previous owner used was for an asymmetrical spinnaker but I believe mine is symmetrical. I laid the chute out and it looked symmetrical. I then took the two clews and brought them together, folding the sail in half. Both sides seemed to match ...

Re: MacGregor 22 Keel Lockdown Bolt
Great! Although the previous owner of mine never locked the keel (he didn't know he could), I don't think it's a great idea. On my Venture, the holes were simply covered with round pieces of duct tape. Not exactly nice looking. I found a company, www.non-ferrousfastener.com, that sells nylon plugs a...

Re: MacGregor 22 Keel Lockdown Bolt
Hi Craig,
On my V22, I remove the panel under the seat cushion and reach my hand through the opening and up. Once you put a bolt through, you can feel it from the other side.
