Question about flushing
According to the owner's manual ( Suzuki D70), there are two ways to flush the outboard, with the engine running or not. It does say that flushing while running the engine is the preferred method. However, I have my boat moored in a saltwater slip so I'm not sure if I can flush with earmuffs in the ...

Re: Made a big gouge in the gel coat
Just ordered the Marine Tex, put some duct tape on the gouge to keep water out. As for how it happened? It's ridiculously embarassing, I can't even go there!

josonio, You may already have located this mod posting, but if not... http://www.macgregorsailors.com/modt/index.php?view=682 I was looking at that and would like to do it. However, I'm uncomfortable drilling anything into the boat without knowing what I'm doing. Also, do you have to pick out mater...

Re: Privacy curtain for the head
Yeap, hadn't thought of that. Simple. I'll probably just do that.Y.B.Normal wrote:I modified the head door by shimming the hinges about 1/2". The door now swings out against the quarter berth and still has enough room to close in the normal manner.

Privacy curtain for the head
I'm ditching the stock portapotty that came with the 26M and went ahead and bought a Travel John to use with wag bags. The problem of course is that there is a ledge in the head and unless you even it out with some material anything besides the Dometic portapotty won't fit. I actually have no proble...

Re: Where to put the dinghy?
No engine, so it should be pretty easy. I'll try to the jib halyard. Didn't want to put it on the dock because it's dirty and full of old nails. May put some astroturf on it though. Thanks for the advice!

Where to put the dinghy?
Hey all, I just bought a 9 foot inflatable. It's a pain in the ass to put it on the bow, but that's what I've been stuck with. My dock https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-a2kXfyUb1lg/TqDr0AJztcI/AAAAAAAAFdU/_ch-Lym8XY8/s144/IMG_0901.JPG is as shown. Is there a way to hoist to the boat out of the wate...

Re: Check Engine Light and Beeping on new Suzuki 70!
Hey all, Thanks for the replies. Just so everyone knows, I do have a manual! However, the manual does not contain a list of codes that help you to deduce what is going on. I combed the internet, and found a couple of instances in which the 5-3 code may indicate a problem with either a sensor or a gr...

Check Engine Light and Beeping on new Suzuki 70!
Hey all, Just picked up my Mac today and am very excited. However, when I got the boat in the water, I noticed a beeping sound. Looking at the tachometer, the check engine light was flashing-5 flashes followed by 3 flashes. I was told that this has something to do with the oil pressure sensor. I was...

Re: Need advice...have a 2008 Toyota Sienna
Thanks Mastreb. That's kind of what I've been reading elsewhere. I'll just have to white knuckle it down to my marina and then look at other options. I'll probably take your advice and look around for an old workhorse.
