Hate to turn this into ad space, but theres a beautiful 98 Catalina 400(huge aft bunk, two separate baths, beautiful wood etc etc) sitting at the repo dock at shoreline village in Long Beach, Ca. for $149($250,000 new). With this soft market, should be able to get it for $125,000. It also has a mas...

BMW Z4 $40,945 for the 3.0i. The Z3 lacked the crispness we expect from a BMW and was replaced and the Z4 addresses the Z3's faults and rectifies them in spectacular fashion. One major difference, between my Z3 and the Z4... The Z3 is a sharp elegent looking car. The Z4 is kinda... :| As per handli...

Good bit of advice is budget on getting it done every year, then if you don't have to get it done you will have about $1000 extra. If you get regular bottom work done by a diver, and dont let stuff build up to much it should last allittle longer. The diver should be able to tell you the condition of...

Howdy all, I have been giving it allot of thought over the past couple of months. Which boat to buy, trailerable or not? Mooring or slip? Etc. Basically, I decided to return to my original dream. I am going to get a 37+- foot modern, or a 45+- foot classic boat. I am going to be getting rid of my ap...

On a more serious note, one day we where driving through my home town. Small place in NC. We where going through one of the not so nice sections. And I will be d...

you said @ one point that it starting hissing if i remember correctly? That sounds like a blown gasket. When you fire it up, is it still making that hissy sound. I would be VERY cautious of running it hot. That can cause detonation, and / or preignition. Both of which can have catastrophic effects o...

After reading some books on the subject, obstructions are actually supposed to cause the pressure to rise. I very well could be mistaken on this, being that I am not a boat mechanic. But, an obstruction in a system like this would subject the water to what is known as a venture effect. Much like in...

T-Storm Question
Howdy, I have a quick question for you all. Being that this is a deck stepped mast, what happens when it gets struck by lightning? keeled masts funnel most of it strait into the water, but obviously that wouldnt be possible with a trailerable boat. Thanks, JEM
