Re: IDA Tiller, Rudder & Daggerboard 26D
I'm sorry all I have is the rudder, tiller and dagger board. They are all in very good condition.

IDA Tiller, Rudder & Daggerboard 26D
I lost my 26D to a storm (on land... not sea) and I have almost new IDA Sailor parts to part-out. I'd rather not ship them because I don't have packaging but if you are in the Seattle area and race or just play on a D I'll make you a deal.

I'll get brave enough to cross the staits but probably not this year. Victoria is a great destination because its a great tourist trap. Lots of food, street activities, great water front, museums and things to see, no need for cars to get around. Just a great place to boat. I'll drive over to the PT...

My Tohatsu 6HP single lung is a fuel sipper. I've not done enough continuous motoring to monitor its consumption but I get 5.5k @ just over 1/2-3/4 throttle. My seat of the pants was that I was using 1/3 gallon/hr. That gives me 16.5kmiles/gallon. From the consumption curve it looks like I should be...

We have settled on Trailer Trash for our boat name. It isn't romantic but has a little bit of irony and self depriciation that I like. :) The new boat widget syndrome has gotten hold of me though. I've replaced all standing rigging (with the exception of the baby shrouds), all running rigging, added...

:macx: As it turns out, this burned wire was not fuse protected. It went off the perko switch and the battery. I guess that is another lesson in this fiasco. I wouldn't have a wire in my house that wasn't protected by a fuse or breaker....the same principle should apply to the boat. Jim It should.....

From your direction I wouldn't drive all the way to Twanoh. You'd actually be driving right past Alderbrook on the way to the ramp. My launch ramp book shows what looks to be two good choices on the west side of the canal. Quilcene's ramp looks good. It looks to be part of a marina. From there you ...

I'm with you, Chip. I cannot imagine that somthing made of HDPE could be even remotely as strong as polymer reinforced fiberglass, particularly as the overall thickness is limited by the rudder bracket. I'm sure it is not. The HDPE is probably a nod to easier production to get the nice profile. Wit...
