Mac 25 Swivel Cam Cleat With Bloc
My Mac 25 swivel cam cleat does not have a block but rather just a fairlead. I can find little reference to this, but the rest of the Mac's that I have seen have a block. Can anyone point me in the right direction of whats going on here?

Re: Hatch Seal
There appears to be some remnant of a seal on my hatch door. Basically I would like to be able to make sure everything stays nice and dry no matter what. I think the hatch door is going to be pretty easy since there is enough play there to easily get some seals of some sort in. Not so sure about the...

Deck To Hull Joint
Part of my plan for my 1982 Mac 25 is evaluating if I have any leaks in the deck to hull joint. My research tells me that I need to remove the rubber from the rub rail to access the through bolts for this. Two questions about this, at the stern of the boat the rubber leaves about an 18" gap. Th...

Hatch Seal
I am going to put new seals on my companionway hatch, the slider and the poptop as well as the front hatch. I have seen people suggest using pipe insulation sliced in half to do this. I take it they are using relatively small diameters to make this work? Does anyone have suggestions on this? Thanks,...

How Hard To Crank Keel
How hard should it be to crank the keel winch? On the trailer my keel is sitting a little above it's support on the trailer. I tried moving the winch to let the keel down onto its support but it seemed to not want to move. Is this expected or could something be broken?

Re: Pumping Out Winter Water
Probably just a few gallons. Not more than 10 or 20 I would guess.

Pumping Out Winter Water
Is there a relatively inexpensive way to pump out some water in the sole and some in the bilge. My new Mac 25 has been sitting in a parking lot for a few years and has just a little bit of water that I would like to remove.

Geoff

Paint Ideas
I just purchased my first Mac 25. It is a 1982 in fairly decent shape. I am exploring painting everything, outside and in but have some questions most specifically about the bottom. We are in the midwest, the boat will be on the trailer most of the time and we will only be sailing freshwater. What i...

Tippy Trailer
I just bought a 1982 Macgregor 25. It is on a 2 wheel trailer. What is the best way to keep the trailer from tipping back when getting in the cockpit of the boat?

Geoff

Lashing The Mast For Transport
I know this is a very basic question, but I am curious about even the basics as I get ready to purchase my first Mac 25. How do you lash the mast for trailering? I mean I know you lash it, but I want to make sure I am doing it in the most secure way possible.

Geoff
