Standard rectangular tank for both. The one in the V wanted to slide around a bit so I epoxied some short lengths of 2x4 to make a bit of a tray for it. If you want to, PM me your email address and when I get a chance I'll send you some pictures.

Re: 26M Head
tek, I used solid tanks for both, 10 gal. if I remember correctly. My impression, when I was laying things out, was that the tank under the dinette seat sat a little lower in the boat. I figured that's where I would want the waste to be in case of a leaking hose or fitting. If a hose or fitting leak...

Re: 26M Head
This was one of the first mods I made to my M.
I installed the freshwater tank under the V berth and the holding tank under the forward dinette seat.

Re: MacG to cease product'n in CA. New boat to be made in FL
On the other hand, if those involved in this new venture are aware of what is written on this forum, I'm sure they're thrilled that they've generated this much buzz before they've even built a single boat. I can't think of anyone who would say, "I'm trying to start a new business that will manu...

Re: mods: inapprorate post in "sale" section.
I am however confused as to what this business is about. I see this ad in the classified section, this implies they sell used boats. However there website has no mention of any used boats for sale at all. The first word in the title of both of Bill's ads on the classifieds is "New". You m...

30 BBB complaints in the past 12 months and a bureau rating of "F", who cares what Kelly Hanson requests?

Re: RF Genny Sail Sock Installation?
BADDOG, I coil my genoa sheets and bungee them to the furled sail. Use what was your headsail halyard and clip it to the fabric loop on the top end of the sock. Get the zipper started and while holding the zipper pull the halyard as if raising a sail. When you run out of zipper your genoa should be ...

...just checked the MacGregor website, still advertising 24mph under power with a 60HP. Nope, never gonna happen. 18-19mph is easily doable though with the 60.Kittiwake wrote: It gets you to the widely-advertised Mac26 18-19 mph limit dependably (which a 50 hp may not?) ....

Re: winches on 26 M
Mine make a pretty good place to hang coiled lines. I had a guy on board once who asked "mind if I can see what she'll do?" I replied, "sure go ahead." He asked me where my winch handle was and after thinking about it for a minute I responded, "down below in the box it came ...

E-Tec OEM means just one thing; it is the Ooriginal Eequipment which is installed by the Mmanufacturer. Get it, OEM. Mike Inmon I wasn't aware the manufacturer "installed" motors. I know you can purchase a boat and OBM as a package but I thought the dealer handled installation of the moto...

Thinking about trying to extend my season a little bit and trailer down to Kentucky Lake in mid-November. Anybody have any insight they can offer?
