It could be worth your while to talk with Joel at IDA, to see if what he would propose for the 26D would fall close with what johnhenry has implemented. The improved performance of his boat seems quite amazing.

It really is no big deal to routinely, maybe twice a year to simply loosen and then re-tighten the lug nuts before they end up fusing onto the studs. That's why they snap off in the first place. IMHO
