i have an idea of removing both rudders and replacing them with one retractable one mounted to the outboard directly behind it.i know how to and why i want to do this mod.next is can anyone tell me why i shouldnt do this for any technical reason.

I HAVE A 2001 .50HP MARINER BIGFOOT ON MY 98X .THE F/R CONTROLS WERE INSTALED WRONG BY DEALER AS SELECTING REVERSE WOULD STRIKE THE STEERING WHEEL.I FIXED THIS BY TILTING THE CONTROLES FORWARD A FEW DEGREES AND RE DRILLING AND BOLTING.NOW FOR SOME REASON FORWARD WORKS FINE BUT REVERSE ALTHOUGH ALLOW...

BB try tying a rope from the v bunk at the winch down to the goal posts on eather side.I constantly have 10-15 kt cross winds at my ramp and this makes the whole prosess easy. Peter.
