We mounted directly to the boat... I think D and S mounts are the same..

5" would make a big difference...

we had steering problems - (very tight in the well... )

I can tilt - but it will not clear the water. The motor mount on a 26D is farily low...

I am looking to change the mount for my Outboard motor (9.9hp, 25" Shaft Nissan ) on out 26D. When not using the motor (in slip, or even out sailing for a while) - I wanted to lift it out of the water - and may be tilt at an angle. But the motor is a long (25") shaft motor. I had looked at...

Big questions.... Affordable? Endeavour 40 - center cockpit would be a good go... old enough to afford - and with rear bearth - something to stay out there with... Sum has the right of it on cost...

So how do you winterize your boat? Just curious - some use a shrink wrap - others a tarp... We don't get the weather in Texas so I just have used a tarp in the past... We do get leaves and "sap" everywhere in fall / spring....

Our Scout group used the large screw top, round containers.. they used them when canoeing for years... We were given some (out of the excess) for our boat as well... Turns out that restaurants use these things -and they often give them away... watertight... with a handle.. perfect for our camping an...
