Re: Keeping the white boat clean

I use Starbrite Non-Skid Deck Cleaner on mine with a soft scrub brush. Works great and is easy to do.

Re: "Mast-cam" with GoPro

Some of the radio control hobbyists like the 808 #16 v2 camera and or the Mobius for their photography because of the size and weight. The RCGroups website has lots of info on both of these cameras. I don't own either at this point as my flight skills need to improve ALOT before I attach any other e...

Yes, the store in the narrows was the larger of the two.

Re: Has anyone ever sailed the Shuswap lakes in B.C. Canada?

I don't remember bugs being a problem. Maybe the odd black fly. We blew up the lake in the house boat, letting the wind do most of the work in 3 days. You could sail up in a day I would think. We motored back in 3 days but we were definitely taking our time. Bug House Bay is the bulge on the east, r...

Re: Has anyone ever sailed the Shuswap lakes in B.C. Canada?

I have spent a total of three weeks on that lake in one week intervals. First week in a house boat (pre Mac), second week in a house boat (pre Mac), and third week in a cabin with our Mac moored out front. The lake does have its share of party house boats and party beaches (Nelson Beach for one) but...

Re: Trailering the boat - need help

I launch where there is a dock, so I can walk the boat on and off the trailer. Both bow and stern lines in my hands for control, or the admiral takes one and I the other. The life lines are always there as a backup, in case you drop a line. You have good control if you stand midship.

Highlander,
Did you need to stain the edges? Were you able to match the color?

Re: Just got back from San Juan islands!!

I rubbed a bar of soap on the bunks in the parking lot last time just before I retrieved the boat and it seemed to work well. Might keep the bunks clean too. :)

Re: Water Leak Aft Bilge Under Bed

Mine seems to leak from the pedestal hole on the inner liner and water runs down the cables/wires. It drips off the cables towards the back of the boat at a couple of different locations. The water then runs down to the area just aft of the batteries. The boat is in my yard so I know it is coming fr...

Re: Pressure washer recommendations?

I have used a pressure washer before without the results I was hoping for. I noticed a couple of spots where the gelcoat had chipped off. I would not use it again on the top side. This year I used Starbrite Non-Skid Deck Cleaner and it worked as I had hoped. The top side looked like it did when the ...

New Batteries Required

Hello, I was wondering what type of batteries would be best to purchase to replace my existing weak / dead batteries? The boat came with 2 starting batteries. I was thinking of replacing them with 2 deep cycle batteries as I don't think that my Honda 50 would really require a starting battery. Any t...
